Message from Manna

As they were wandering in the wilderness, the children of Israel seemed to be in a perpetual funk about one thing or another. In Exodus 16:12, God tells Moses that He hasManna heard their grumblings, and will provide them with bread to fill them in the morning, so that they know that He is the Lord their God.

Called manna (from the Hebrew mawn “What is it?!), it arrived in the morning and tasted like wafers with honey.

There are some powerful messages in these tiny little sweet morsels. Allow me to share them with you;

Principle One: Everything comes from God (Ex. 16:15).

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him; And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.  – Col. 1:16, 17

Principle Two: We have our part as well (Ex. 16:16).

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. – Phil. 2:12

Principle Three: We get what we need; no more or no less (Ex. 16:18).

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. – Phil. 4:19

Principle Four: Taking charge of the process won’t work (Ex. 16:20).

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. – Jn. 15:5
