How to Build a “True” Church…

matt16-18-I-will-build-my-churchInspired by a sermon from Paul Washer delivered at Reformation Montana:

The “true Church” (a.k.a. The body of Christ) will only be built by exegetes and systematic theologians, not by the application of principles from secular psychology, sociology or anthropology.

2 Timothy 3:16,17 demonstrates this: not only is the Scripture fully inspired by God (thus inerrant), it is also fully sufficient to equip the believer for a Godly life!

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped* for every good work.”

*Equip is the Greek word ἐξαρτίζω exartizo – meaning to finish out, equip fully.
