Measuring God’s Love…

If any one thinks they have a handle on the scope of God’s love for his children, here’s the response from the hymn writer, Frederick Lehman:

inkwell“Could we with ink the ocean fill,

And were the skies of parchment made,

Were every stalk on earth a quill,

And every man a scribe by trade;

To write the love of God above

Would drain the ocean dry;

Nor could the scroll contain the whole,

Though stretched from sky to sky.”

And, to accentuate this truth, let’s visit Holy Writ for more confirmation:

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God. Eph. 3:17-19
