“What shall we do?!”

After Peter had completed sharing God’s word at Pentecost (notice, it was not through enticing words of men’s wisdom, as Paul warned in 1 Cor. 2:4, but in going directly to the Bible-two-edged-sword-Scriptures – see Acts 2:16 and following), they were IMMEDIATELY moved to cry out “What shall we do?” (Acts 2:37).

Any teaching that has its true source in God’s Word will elicit this response. They were “stabbed in the heart” by the “living, powerful, sharper than any sword” Word of God (Heb. 4:12).

Let’s make sure that any preaching, admonition, comfort, etc. we provide has its ultimate source in God’s eternal Word!

All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. – 2Tim. 3:16
