I recently found a T-shirt with an intriguing message directed to “karma” (technically, the principle of causality where intent and actions of an individual influence the future of that individual), reminding me of the blues lyrics “What goes around comes around, and it’s all coming back to me now.” Here’s the message: “DEAR KARMA…I HAVE A LIST OF PEOPLE YOU MISSED.”
Clever, but theologically, it couldn’t be more wrong (beyond the fact that “karma” is non-existent!).
Let’s visit Holy Writ for some clarification.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Num 32:23 …Be sure your sin will find you out.
Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Of course, for those who belong to God, we read…
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Joh 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Some can think that “karma” may have “missed” some people, but GOD NEVER WILL!
